The Japanese Biliary Atresia Society Secretariat (hereinafter referred to as the Secretariat) ensures particular care is taken for protection of personal information.

When the user’s personal information is provided to service outsource providers, the outsource providers are obligated to protect the personal information based on a non-disclosure agreement and the outsource provider will be managed and supervised to ensure that they handle personal information appropriately.

Disclosure of personal information

The Secretariat will not sell or confer the visitor’s personal information.

However, the information may be disclosed for the following reasons.

  • When the visitor has consented to disclosure of the information.
  • When a formal inquiry request has been made based on the law, by a court, the police or other such party.
  • Revision, deletion and disposal of personal information.
  • The Secretariat shall appropriately delete or dispose of personal information when the purpose of use has been completed.

Safe management of personal information

The Secretariat will ensure the personal information obtained from the user is maintained in an up-to-date and accurate state.

Information security measures are also in place such as measures to prevent unauthorized access and anti-virus measures, to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal information.

Scope of application

This content shall apply to the handling of personal information obtained through the Website.

The Website includes links to websites other than the Secretariat, but the Secretariat is not responsible in any way for the statements or content relating to privacy of websites operated by parties other than the Secretariat.
